hi, was wondering if anyone had a link or somthing to the specialist species list for s.a.

there is no list as such, but its pretty much anything not listed in the unprotected or basic list, read through the link below, the 'specialist' details are toward the bottom of the page,

according to the website, If you qualify, you will need a permit for EACH specialist animal listed.

Specialist or Class 3 permits are endorsement permits. Prior approval from the FPU is required in order to have species added to your permitted keeping list. Endorsements are usually given for individual species but are sometimes just given as whole genera or families. Experience and knowledge must be proven with similar related species or of general similarities between the basic species and the spelialist species in regards to husbandry. Two referees (people keeping the species or similar that you are applying for) must be sought that will willingly support you when you apply. They cost more than Basic permits per year but certainly are worth it.
