Spider ID ....

Hiya guy's,
I was taking the old dog out to the loo lastnight and saw somthing right in front of my face half way up the drive way much to my suprize it was a quite large hairy spider *Shudders*... thank gawd i saw it befor i walked through the web and all ~shudders .... okies any of you spider nutz can you ID it ?

It's the 1st time Ive seen one it was HUGE ,,,, i'm not good with spiders at all

They are very common, I have a couple in my front yard

well i hope tonight his web aim is better than across my drive way ... almost ended up with him on my face just at the right high and all ICKY

Yes it was a nice looking web as far as spider webs go lol ....
I just hope tonight he hangs it a different way
I'm suprized i thought to get the camera most of the time i see a spider i'm screaming like a girl and running away as fast as i can.
but lastnight i had the little LED torch in hand after comming in to get the camera and going back to find him lol ..... i knew he was some kind of Orb just not what sort (if there is more than one sort)
