Just wondering if what I saw on my hike today is a Cunningham's Skink? I was hiking the surrounding hills of Canberra and spotted this little guy and one other basking on rocks. He was quite calm with me about, but, kept a healthy distance. Apologies for the photo, I only had my iPhone with me at the time.
Would someone be able to confirm that this is or isn't a Cunningham's Skink (Egernia cunninghami) please? From what I have read, they can be quite varied in their appearance. I was quite excited to see something more than a butterfly or a cricket for a change .
Thanks in advance,
TF.
