np with sand. but then again my acckie went on a massacure & killed its mates. dont think its got anything to do with the sand tho lol..sands pretty good.easy to clean & looks good.
 
I would be keeping your ackies on sand, not BC IMO.
 
I keep mine on Breeders Choice but it is I think just a personal choice thing, both are fine and sand is better in a display situation rather than in a breeding cage where aesthetics aren't important.
 
I've used both with ackies, they both work well. The only downside to BC is that if you are feeding them woodies the woodies will borrow into it so you have to hand feed them. The also like to dig which is another disadvantage of BC.
Sand is what i prefer for small moniter but its not as easy to keep clean, but that less of an issue when you look at the disadvantages of BC.
