Temp Question for Gecko Breeders

As the weather is getting hotter now, are you supposed to turn all heat mats and heat cords off? I dont use a thermostat yet.

and also...

is Cooling during the winter months very important for Levis Levis?

i have turned all my heat matts and stuff for my geckos off.as for the cooling with levis i think i would help but it may not matter

I use Thermostats all year round to keep temps under maximum control, major changes in temperature can have various effects on reptiles.

BTW... my first 2 levis eggs this season dont look too good. One severly deflated and the other looks clear and nothing inside.

Is it normal to have 2 bad eggs as first eggs of season?

Yes, slugs are common in first and last clutches, sometimes the female gets into gear before the male starts his engine. and sometimes she has more fuel than he does..

When breeder say "slugs" does that mean infertile eggs.

I thought they actually looked like slugs.

What do slugs look like?
