this questions been asked before i'm sure but i need to know i'm using a probo thermstat to heat a new home before my new reptiles arrive but dont know what temp to set it at can anyone tell me please as i want to sort any problems before they arrive and not disturb then with temp changes trying to get it right cheers tony

Have the probe positioned in the centre of the back wall. Try getting the temps about 29-30 degrees directly under the heat lamp. To achieve this the thermostat may be set at about 27 degrees but this does depend on your cage size. The length of the cage plays an important part in this. Your main goal though, is to have it about 29-30 under the lamp and have a cool end of about 26 degrees. So set the thermostat at a temp thats inbetween these.

I have my stimmies enclosure set at 30 - 32c under the heat lamp and a cool end of 26c. He is a happy and gutsy snake. Will eat anything I put in front of him.
