Reptiles to my knowledge are the only live animals WIRES use and this is restricted to training of members. All of those animals, I am led to believe are wild caught and released after a short time in care. So I would imagine that without evidence supporting DEC's option (escaped pet), it would not be positive for the animal. That is my interpretation of the policies and I may very well be off the mark!
