UVA or UVB or Both???

Hi All

Just a quick query. I am keeping geckos - which are presently all nocturnal, however I want to get a pair of another species being Strophurus and was told that UV lighting was important for them as they bask during the day sometimes.

Is it a UVA or UVB light I need, or a Fluro that does both?

Hi Ari,

The tubes I use have both, although I'm not sure if they need both. You would think that they would need both as that is what they would get in the wild. Strophurus do not hide at all it seems and spend all their time when they aren't hunting prey on the branches.
