Now that's a smart thing to do.

As a general rule, any animal that has any kind of transmittable desease is isolated from area's that are commonly used by people and their animals. We have chemicals here that are used to thouroughly clean area's where sick animals have been eg parvo dogs etc so the deseases are stopped in their tracks. Gloves and the like are used by the staff who handle these animals. All precautions are taken to insure that transmittable deseases are not then given to others. In general we also do not put animals with such deseases in consultation rooms.
