Perhaps when someone new introduces themselves on the introductions thread there can be someone posting some tips about how to use the site, to get the best out of it, how to use the search function etc. Just a general crash course.
I have noticed that one member in particular has been telling new members that they "will get flamed if they ask questions", that "there are some jerks on here" etc. Of (approx) the last 8 new members to post, the person in question has said something negative about this forum to about half of them. Is this what we want our new members to be hit with as soon as they post their first post???
Should't we be encouraging and helping our new members?
