!!! My beardies have NEVER done this, I have never heard anyone mention this or read this on any other site. Has anyone's dragons done this? Or is this a unique issue with exported beardies...

its normal , my 3 do it every now and again .

In Shannon Plummers Captive care of the Central Netted Dragon she describes netteds doing this and that it is normal behavior, for netteds anyway

My male does it sometimes aswell.
Completly normal

You won't necessarily see your beardies do it.
It helps remove old skin from around their eyes.

Its Normal behaviour, they are cleaning there eyes.

they do it a few times a day, only a few seconds at a time.

They do it to help release old skin from around their eyes - prior to a shed...

That's what the process is about, however, it's REALLY designed to terrify their slaves into thinking they're dying, or something is irrevocably wrong! :lol:

Relax, it's all quite normal - just don't let your dragons see you upset about it!

How odd... mine have never :| not in front of me. I work in the same room as them and have been accused of doting on them too much Mebbe they were saving it for a time it would truly terrify me and have me rushing off at midnight to an emergency vet for a $1000 vet bill for no reason xD LOL

Nope can see just fine.

Though I was never sure why he did this so its good to know theres a reason

Gosh I've never seen by beardie do this before either!! I'm with you giggle I'd panic and be off to the vet!!! Hahaha!!
