This Eco Earth stuff is the soft shredded fibre from the outside of the coconut, not the crushed coconut shell itself.

I did try it once, messy to work with and I ended up using something else.

Seen that stuff pop up a while ago here too.
Don't seem to sell well though. I think most herpers stick to the usual.
It looks a nifty thing when reading the back of the package but i'm glad i didn't buy it .
No professional overhere ( atleast none i know off ) uses it anyways so i'd stick to the usual

Tends to stick to everything when it gets wet, I tried it in frog enclosures years ago and they ended up coated in it, even though it was damp. You wouldn't want to feed anything on top of it - they couldn't avoid ingesting some. Think of a dragon with it's sticky tongue, or a snake with a damp mouse/rat...
