SW carpets are one of the more common kept pythons in WA. Do many people keep them outside of Western Australia? Any pictures?

really? No one???
I thought someone would just to have something different in their collection......

My partner currently has some in Perth, but when he moves over to QLD we will be breeding them over here. :)

give it some time, your post was started less then 6 hours ago... most people are still at work and are yet to see the thread.

iv got one.... although im in perth so i guess i dont count... haha, awesome snakes tho

Snowman,

I have been keeping an eye out for some for a while, but they don't show up too often. Maybe I'm waiting for you to move over here & sell 'em to me for a nice snappy price. Haha!

I want to see some pics of these bad boys. Even if you are from WA, shows us ya imbricata!

I have a male and a female Morelia Spilota Imbricata, both coastal forms, though I have seen some lovely hills forms.
Sorry, I am in WA as well.

great to see everyones imbricata :) Such a diverse creature as far as colour and pattern.
Although our selection of pythons in WA is limited... Our imbricata's appear to be somewhat rare in the other states private collections..............
I can't wait to get my next one!

I've got a mate who has a breeding pair, he lives in seven hills (Sydney). Ones 7ft the other is 6ft or so

about $500 - $600 in WA for a hatchie or yearling if you get it from the right breeder...
Herps in general are more expensive in WA. keeping them as pets is relatively new here as opposed to over east. So we don't have as many breeders or stock which must force the prices up..... JMO

Most Pet stores in WA are selling Imbricata for around $950.00 but find the right breeder and price goes down. Havent seen them lower than $800.00. Where do you get them that cheep Snowman.

Try some locale breeders or Pilbara Pythons, Dave does some good deals on Imbricata when he has them available.

this is my new little girl :)

I have captive bred hatchlings available at $600 and they are from an awesome Geraldton line or $500 for Yallingup specimens.
