Why was that thread locked?

Why was the thread relating to Colin's removal locked? I actually pointed out to Colin on Friday that he had become an egg again and asked him why. He was unaware of his changed status until I pointed it out to him and checked it out himself.

It was at his request that his account be terminated - he wants nothing more to do with the site. I have to agree with Steve (Duga) - the content of PMs should remain between those parties - that's the reason for them in the first place. Is someone being a little precious here?

Pm's are private between the two people that are involved. When these pm's cross the line and break the rules of A.P.S, and are offensive to those involved then the mods step in an action is taken.

in this case its the pm's in question that led to the removel of this member.
