Hey everyone, i just have a question about heat sources. i have a large enclosure for my 2 yr old coastal carpet python. she is 1.6m long. i have a heat mat to put in under a piece of slate. im just not sure what temperature to set the thermostat at and where woud be the best place for it. any info would be greatly appreciated.

At 1.6m long, I would be worried a heat mat will not supply the heat your Coastal needs.
Our bigger carpets (Jungles) are in full sized enclosures with a 100watt (caged) heat lamp at the top.
