how do snakes drink?

how do snakes drink? do they use their tongues or what? i have never seen my snake drink.

They use their mouth, and suck the water into their mouths and swallow.

I've seen Gizmo drink several times. She has half her head submerged when she does it so I don't think she uses her tongue as in the way a cat or dog does. She appears to suck it in as Ned mentioned above.

I've only ever seen my snake drink when i spray him with a-bit of water.

same , my bhp drinks with its face in the water . but most of the others with a tounge flicker .
i have seen the lacie put its head into the water [ up it his eyes] and drink silly bugger.

If you look at your snakes long enough you will catch them drinking Its very occasional they just put there mouth near or in the waters surface and suck the water through there mouths sometimes you can notice little drops of water on top of there mouths
