Hi guys, I recently got given these as a present from a well meaning friend.

I want to know how many breeding mice i can house in these,
The dimensions are 35cm x 20cm x 20cm

I want to house 2 females and 1 male?
Do you think this would be possible?
Would i have to take the male out?

Also i noticed that you can put feed in the little v part,
What food do you put there apart from fresh fruit?

2F to 1M is fine, i wouldnt worry about removing the male! you just dont want to introduce another male while there is one in there!
rat and mouse cubes are best to put there you can buy it from most pet shops!

The number of females will depend upon the age you wish to grow the offspring to. Even 2 females, one male and say 15 offspring would be very crowded just before weaning. I sometimes wonder why people chose to keep mice in such small containers. I can understand labs doing it where they want to keep track of individual pairs but for a colony situation those tubs are too small.
