Is it still possible to do it? If memory serves, you couldn't PM Colin and Fay unless you were on their friends list. Maybe that's the issue the OP was having

Some of us have that set saximus, but all of us are pretty approachable. Except Jax, she sets fire to your bicycle if you bug her enough
