You are very lucky to get a visit from one of these guys.
 
They are a semi-regular visitor to our place also. They can be quite odd when seen stumbling along the nature strip just on dark.....Makes you have a 'double take' as they are not the most majestic creatures when on the move.

I've never seen one in the wild. Hopefully this little guy will live a safe and happy life
 
I took a pic of this guy yesterday while I had the camera out. We get all the nice birds come in for a feed, king parrots...
But I think this guy is a stand out bird.

They are always a good thing to see if the yard. Growing up I have seen so many in my parents yard I lost count ages ago. Here is a picture from the start of the year in their yard of some.
