Background question.

Hey guys and girls,
Ive built an enclosure recently and am deciding to use bark as a background, ive found ones of the right size and have treated them as required. My question however is what do people think to be the best way to attach the bark to the background?? They arent perfectly flat and im not sure what to put in between to make it secure.

could try screwing them in and going over the screw head with brown paint? Hot Glue gun? just let it air out for a while before putting the snake in, to remove any smells or blahblah
