Does anyone know of any good resources for this topic, or know of any species i could look up separately?

Put in a request with DSE to access the Wildlife Atlas. They will send you a print out with the species recorded there. When I worked in the area theres an interesting species of monitor living there, that was/is often mistaken as a Lace Monitor.
