Hi guys,
Today i found my female storrs monitor after she had laid one egg (i had to move it as it was directly under their basking light) but since then she has not produced any more eggs and is mating with the male almost constantly.
This is the second clutch for the season and i had no probs with the first clutch. The single egg she has produced so far is much smaller than those from the last clutch, yet her belly looked much larger and more bumps were visible this time. there are still the visible outlines of eggs in her belly although the skin is less taught...
SO, is this break in laying normal and what should i do? ( it was 11 am when she produced egg 1 and it is now 5:30pm) Should i put the male in a separate tank for the time being to give her a chance to lay the rest of her clutch?
Thanks everyone!
