If we can access this imagine what else there is that we cant. Maybe i should start wearing clothes. lol

Oh here is the car that did parts of Melbourne and Adelaide and every where in between. I believe they also had an Astra and a Barina.

My street doesn't exsist! ......and yet the bills keep finding their way here!

its great but my grass was not mowed

Same, and it looks like it hadn't been for awhile, they must have been taken after we had a heap of rain by the look of it.

Seems alot of people are jumping up and down about it, i dont really blame them, google might end up with alot of privacy law suits coming their way.

personally I don't like the idea. It's ok now, as some people say it's like driving past our house. Although I'm sure that the people that had their garage open with their expensive cars in them or other big valuables have something to worry about already. I'm wondering where this will stop, will the images soon be uploaded regularly? and will we be able to zoom in to people's backyards and windows??? I personally don't like it.

i was just looking at that it is sooooooooooooooooo cool!!! :)

don't worry callith heaps of ppl don't have there houses yet

I like the satellite images, we are on 2.5 acres and it's interesting to see our block from a different view! Our street is not on 'street view' but I checked out a friends address and it has their car parked in the driveway which they have since sold anyway. The street view is interesting but somewhat irrelevant. If you want to see what your house (or anyone else's) looks like from the street go outside and have a look! But the satellite image is something we don't normally get to see.

Yeah I dont have a streeet view either (probably because you cant see the house from the street) and I know the exact day they took the above shot because I had a huge pice of polystyrene in my trailer in the driveway.

That's cool...and disturbing all at the same time! :?

I just had to look if our place is on street view and it is...and the lawn looks like crap. It looks like it was taken in summer at the height of the drought. I'm glad they didn't snap me going to the letterbox in uncoordinated daggy clothes

Its amazing the detail they can get, I can see why people would get upset with it. The angle is kinda cool too, its like your sitting uptop a bus going down the street. The images upload pretty quickly with broadband even with the detail.

It took them like over a year to get these photos and organise them, it wont be updated reguarly. My garage is open with my dads Mercedez (spelling) sitting in the garage.

Photo was done like a week after we did up our garden, woot.

I can't believe some of the comments and paranoia about this! If privacy is the issue then anyone with a camera taking shots in your street should be taken to court for breach of privacy? Or for that matter just walking past your house and having a look. Remember it is not in real time and the shots here in Adelaide are about 7 months old. This is just amazing technology. Google Earth is probably more intrusive as you can see right into peoples back yards. There the local Council can check on your illegal home extension.
