k, i have made a thread about this before, but he's getting worse. my 3 nd a half old beardie was eating 5-6 woodies a day, now for the last 2 days hes been on the cooler side of the tank the whole time and has only had one dandelion and one woodie, thats in a two day period. please help me, i cqnt take him to the vet.

what do you meen you can't take him to the vet.... as the owner of an animal it is your responsibility to look out for its wellbeing. $60 really isnt that much if it'll save your beardie.

i mean i cant take him to the vet. i love him to bits and yes he is by himself, cquse the other two are to big for him, almost triple the size now. hes only about 16g. and money is a problem atm, so $60 is an issue.

can you separate him??? He is probably just being dominated. 2 days isn't that long anyway.

Then you shouldn't be keeping any animals if you can't afford to look after them, especially not breeding them as your signature implies.

keep him nice and warm, maybe call a vet for some advice and tell them money is an issue.

yeah you should try get it to the vet even if you make a payment plan or something ask someone for the money for a while

looking after them is no issue, i have ever lasting woodies. but, i dont have the money ATM for about a week, and i dont know how long he can last, he is by himself now and has been for a bit. and all the vet sais on the phone was like'well i cant say anything with out seeing him" and that will just cost me.

2 days is nothing to call a vet over its probably just going through a "phase"

he has been going through this "phase"for almost two months now, eating a tiny bit, then nothing for a few days,

Have you moved him to the hot end? or left him there? Somtimes if there in the cool end for a while they can get cold/inactive and will stay there..

here we go again, hey lemonz hold up an umbrella for all the crap that these people are about to put on you.they have never made a error in life, .they are just so bloody perfect, NOT.
cheers:)

How about RSPCA or some wildlife parks/zoos sometimes will be willing to help for no fee.
Good luck.

yes i move him, hes gets hot for about 4-5mins and goes back over there on the log

How cold is the cool end? are you offering night heat? I had a hatchie do the same as yours.. put more heat on her and she is eating like a horse again.. Is it possible to take him to the vet for a fecal/check over when you get some more money? he could have parasites if he doesn't eat much.. Hows his poo :)lol:) is it runny, smellier then usual?

16g for a 3.5 year old beardie is a worry. thats smaller than a snall mouse. try calling another vet. if you have an endless supply of woodies, can you put a colony together and sell to raise some money to pay a vet? its normal for a beardie to go off their food from time to time, what worries me is why is it so small for its age. are you sure its 16g?

Ahaha funny, NOT. We may not be perfect but I for one make sure my animals welfare is above all else.

Anyway, a vet trip isnt usually $60, more like $20-30. Well it is here anyway, I even bought my snake in a few days ago to get checked out and he didnt even charge me anything.

3 and a half years? I thought he meant months... I would say he meant months... that would mean its the size of a hatchie basically..
