Just thought i would share the newly hatched water pythons, there are 6 this year all going well.
i decided to try the incubation over water method this year, she laid 6 eggs and 6 eggs hatched, i reckon that was only the second time ever i have had 100% hatched.

If you decide to move any of them on, I know someone who's been looking for one locally (Brisbane.) Cute little buggers, but I don't think I could handle one.

i will sell them after they have had about 10 feeds or so just keep ypour eye open as they will be sold on here.

They are soo cool!
post some pics at feeding time if you can please :)

Awesome! :)
also are water pythons expensive?

Dirt cheap. Most of them are psychos so they all get a bad rep.
But in saying that, most of them will calm down with age.

no not expensive, they go for about $200 as adultsand about 200-250 as hatchies (depending who is selling them), the main thing with a wather python is dont feed it in its cage use a feeding box, and handle it every now and then, otherwise they can get a bity cage defensive.

cool thanks for the info
is it true they emit some sort of odour or something when frightened?

not that i have ever smelt, or read i know green tree snakes do but not water pythons (that i know of)

hey matt (cracks), i will take some more pics as they settle in, my girl is a little over 6 foot and the boy is a bit bigger, that male weights 3.65 KG and the female 2.98.

they will be for sale after they shed and have a good 5- ten feeds, i might put them up for pre order as i have already had 4 messages asking for them.

yeah i am happy with them, you dont see alot of baby water pythons, and they are a snake that needs a experianced owner.

Congratulations, very nice looking hatchies, I have to agree about the experienced owner bit, I wanted one for years, finally got a beautiful male, everything was fine for a while and then he started trying it on and I didnt have the confidence or experience to deal with him. They are still one of my favourites though.
