words.. you had a word tattooed on you.. really? :lo: sorry, but personally I find the whole concept of words permanently printed on your body to be totally stupid, but then, that's just me.
and in the end it's your body and you have to live with it, so if you like it, then to hell what I think
but really, if you're going to get a permanent marking, at least make it real art work of some kind, that had real significance for you.
each to their own in the end though. celebrate life woo....

Uhoh! once you start you cant stop! Lol, i started of with a dolphin on my left boob, now have a sleeve, chest piece, and starting on my other sleeve!!!
Love the font, its very similar to the writing on my chest and the font i used for my daughters name.

if you have your child's name tattooed on you, then yes, to anyone that answers "yes"...

thats a bit rude recharge. getting your childs name tattood on you, to me, is the same as having a huge wedding, its showing the rest of the world the people you love.
i dont have a child nor do i have names tattoo's. there is no need to be so judgemental to others who do however.

You're the one who said make sure the tattoo has real significance to you. Just because it has writing in it doesn't mean its not artwork, and as a mother I sure as hell cant think of anything more significant to me than my daughter. I personally dont have any word tattoos by the way, just saying I get why people do it. And this doesn't just go for name tattoos - as for the word ones, its about what the word means to them, a word of real importance in their lives. In some cases for some people a single word can express a lot more than even what could be fit onto a whole body of tattoo artwork (and lets not forget, for many people having a large tattoo just isnt practical in their day to day life).

I'm sure some people would see it that way, but I'm pretty sure a psychologist would see it a bit differently
it's self aggrandising, it's not displaying those you love, but rather a fanfare of your own achievements.
but then, what do I know? I'm not a psychologist, and rude? why? and judgemental? ha! welcome to humanity, we all judge, get used to it.
if you're willing to risk showing yourself on the internet, you're going to have to accept some risk of someone sharing their opinion and not agreeing with you
and really, it's a slow night and I'm mostly teasing, at least it's getting the thread going!

The tatt isn't my style but it is nicely done. A couple of my friends have gotten tattoo's done from a mate with a tattoo gun and they are shocking. This one is at least nice looking. And if she likes it then why does it matter if someone else doesn't?

I have words dedicted to my niece who died at 16yrs of age and at no time have i ever felt stupid for doing it, i am proud of it. Some words may mean nothing to some people but to other they're are alot of feeling associated with them.
