I remember a corn snake was found at bunnings in Kalgoorlie. it was put down. i don't know why it couldn't have gone to a zoo or reptile park. W.A. seems to be a lot stricter than the east coast.
Like I said, I do appreciate everyone's advice. I'll do whatever I have to with the licensing thing, but for now I want to keep the snakes healthy and happy, that's the advice I'm after.

I understand that but you need to realise that if you don't resolve your licensing issues now you will always have this problem. (Potentially leading to any legally owned animals also being confiscated down the track)
Lets say you just keep them and get a licence and do everything by the book in the future. In 5 years time you get a visit and they find you have 6 snakes when your licence says you have 4........see where this is going?
Like or loath licensing its the law and if you don't follow these laws then potentially more, (legally owned), animals will suffer.
Folks on here are only giving you advice and its for a very good reason. The longer you wait to talk to the licensing people the worse the situation looks. You are not the 1st person to get caught out while trying to do the right thing and I doubt you will be the last.
What state did you say you were in? NSW? Call them explain the situation.(truth always prevails) and like has been mentioned who knows the the bureos[emoji26]...I'm hearing you. I'm gonna call them as soon as I knock off work and sort it out. Hopefully it's not too late.
Yeah I went and bought them both a hide today and some timber to put as a threshold kinda thing across the front of the enclosure so I can put some proper bark Bedding in there for them. What state did you say you were in? Good luck with being able to hold onto them..and sort the hides water and climbing gear in the enclourses.. also I personally would recommend losing the fake grass. I bet it stinks [emoji6]..

And as far as the license thing goes, I called up today and the lady told me unless the previous owner had a license there's no hope of getting them put on mine as there's no way of knowing where they came from, but I'll keep trying until I get a soft one hopefully.
usually if a reptiles origin can't be proven it might be offered up in a ballot by the NPWS,I have been the lucky recipient of a Coastal Python in a ballot. She has proven to be a lovely placid creature.Normally they are only euthanised if an exotic or unhealthy creature.I've become quite attached to them so hopefully I don't have to surrender them. If I do have to surrender them though does that mean they will be sold to someone else or are they euthanised or what's the process there?

You need to be a licensed keeper to be offered a chance in a ballot
I don’t think they will go up for adoption since seller has no license and no history of where they came from :/Couldn't you just buy them back when they're put up for adoption?
Ah ok, I thought they might go up on the RSPCA site or something.I don’t think they will go up for adoption since seller has no license and no history of where they came from :/
That's exactly right. If they're found to be aggressive or for any other reason not fit to be kept, or if they believe they were taken from the wild, they will be put to sleep or released back into the wild after they've been checked over, but as I've handled them and know they're not "exotic" they will be given to a wildlife carer who will either keep them or release them, as far as I was told anyway.I don’t think they will go up for adoption since seller has no license and no history of where they came from :/
They get PTS if they can’t find where they come from. In this case the seller didbt have a license so the origins are unknown whether wild caught or captive bred or whatWho told you they would release them Murko? Just seems to be strange advice. Darwin pythons come from Darwin area, so releasing it in NSW, Vic or SA seems wrong (to me).
Can anyone with experience on unlicensed snakes & what potentially happens to them elaborate on this?
