Maybe not a benchmark - but most certainly we consider the dolphin as an intelligent(ish) species portrayed through media and Opo the dolphin...

The concept of justifying child abuse by comparing human behaviour to that of another species kind of threw me off....plus I was already frustrated with the content of the email. You have apologised for the wrong thing in my books. Your follow up post was reasonable....bringing a right wing, red neck email to the attention of this family friendly herp site is something I would have considered worth apologising for.

I dont know if ive missed the points of someones comment, but dolphins arnt as intelligent as most ppl would like them to be. They can do repedative remedial tasks for treats but lack genuine problem solving ability.

Don't be frustrated by it - realise that this is probably the exact type of biggotry that goes on - And look at how many people agree with it? More than you can prod a stick at.

I am all for free speech...I am against censorship...but malicious discrimination and type casting are pet hates of mine....I guess I have a soft spot for the under dog.

PC does on occasion go too far....and in the right context (Dave Chappelle show for example) I'd probably laugh at some of those statements....I just don't think that a site as heavily policed as APS is an appropriate place to discuss such topics.

I agree with most of it, only one comment really suggests some possible ignorance or discrimination, but is carefully worded so it isnt directly said. It is most likely that they have a similar feeling to mine but are too ignorant or closed minded to think any more than just saying its wrong.

I think that if you feel homosexuality is wrong, it is not a phobia, it is an opinion.

It isnt wrong at all some ppl are just like that and they cant just change because its the way they are.
It isnt 'normal'(simply because the majority are straight) but it makes good porn when its only girls involved :lol: at the same time i naturally find gay male behavior repulsive and abnormal but thats just the way i naturally am and im not ashamed of it, its just the way i am, just like they are naturally the way they are. Ppl just need to accept other ppl can be different.

Oh and that probably wouldnt hurt either fishbot. The problems associated with religions is (and this is true for atleast all but one might i add) that they encourage the participants to adopt ethics which were created by one mans (possibly a collective of ppl) ideas, morals and ethics. In many situations these ethics are bad and insight violence and bloodshed.

:lol: perhaps you should read some religous texts, it is completely forbidden under isalm, christianity and judaism(possibly many others too). Most ppl just modify their religions to fit in with modern society.
