Hi,
I have a male '12 Childreni about 22 inches long. I've been trying to handle him regularly ever since I got him 6 months ago. There has been times when he has been nippy. But he has made progress over the months.

Lately he is very active when he senses we're in his room. He comes out of his hide and acts as if he wants to come out. The other day I thought he wanted to sniff me, so he came close and bit my hand.

Today he came out again and struck at the glass twice. He was trying to bite my hand. I waited until he went back into his hide. Then I lifted up his hide like I always do to pick him up. No problem as usual. He let me take him out with no biting. He was calm while I held him for a few minutes.

Is this normal? Is it a territorial behavior? Any ideas?

Cheers!

Sounds hungry to me :)
My evil Olive, Norman, does the same thing when I don't feed him enough for his liking.
