a red scale

hello all,

I was just cleaning and re-decorating my stimson pythons house, and i noticed as i put him back a red scale along his back. =S he shed over a week ago and i havnt touched him in that time and was wondering if it is possible that he has pulled a scale out? is it the kind of thing that just regenerates itself?
