whats the difference in mitchells and spinifex hopping mice im interested in getting 1 male and 1 female not related im in Seaford, Melbourne could anyone help me out. some pics of the 2 differeny mice would be helpfull aswell.

i used to have a pair of spinifex which quickly turned into 30 pairs lol , im pretty sure there is virtually no difference but fro the images i have seen is the Mitchell is slightly larger an darker coloration

Same genus - different species.

Plenty of differences between the two (identifying characteristics, distribution, size etc.), may not be visible upon first glance, but do some basic research on both and it will become clear. This should definitely be done before acquiring an animal.

As for pictures - google it.

This is really simple stuff, and a bit of light reading will answer all of your questions. Research animals before deciding to purchase them.

Years ago I found a weird rodent (looked so much like a hopping mouse) at my primary school. It hopped away. Any hopping mice species found in my area?
