My 4 month old Amyae bubs are growing fast and I'm positive one of them is a boy (ok, he's 15g and I'm sure at least half of that is his nuts hehe).

Anyhoot, my other one is half a gram lighter and looks slightly smaller. It's genitals are not as blatantly prominant as the male's, but I'm not sure if it is a female or just needs a little more time to buldge-up.

Can anyone post pics of their male + female Amyae (belly side) for comparison?

Cheers!
Carolyn

Thanks for that. My fe/male has a much more prominant bulge than those two pics DrNick, but is not significantly unlike the female pic on Dan's website.

I just took some pics:

Toby is my deffinite male.

Spike is the one in question, who just happens to be very wiggly tonight!! I'll keep trying to get a good pic, but s/he's not making it easy! haha :)

Whilst I choose not keep these species, Spike seems have a wider vent area (in comparison to Nick's geckos) but from what I can see, there seems to be no bulges or central depression outlining the testes.

So for now, I'd say female.

Those are precicely the reasons I'm umm-ing and ahh-ing about it.
