Hey guys,

I'm looking to build an enclosure (out of either wood or pressed board) for my stimsons python.

I'm wondering what would people recommend as a suitable size for them? I was thinking around 800w X 500-600d x 400-500h (was leaning more towards the 500 so as to create a few multi story rock hides for him).

wanted to have 2 sliding perspex doors at the front and a wire mesh on half the lid on the top. Also wondering where the best position would be for a UV heat lamp? in the other half of the solid lid or in the side?

What are peoples thoughts/suggestions in terms of materials and dimensions... any hints?

greatly appreciated! :)

ok cool... when you say sealed in proper manner as in all the adjacent edges sealed with something like silicon?

plywood should be sealed with non toxic sealer. otherwise could release harmful fumes. heating source in enclosure will exacerbate the problem.
