Hi All,

I got Moose when he was 5 months, 2 weeks old. He was the same size and weight as his siblings. I've kept a record of every feed (both failed and successful) and every shed. I selected a Jungle (as my only snake) based on the type of enclosure I could accommodate and on the expected adult length.

After a slightly shaky start on the feeding front, at 7 months, 1 week old, he moved into his 400 Litre enclosure and has thrived ever since (most people say hang off on putting them into a larger enclosure, but he's done better in there than he ever did in the click clacks)

Here's my little record of him, would love it if someone could take the time to look at it and give me your thoughts? I haven't put all the written info there (I have extra info on my thoughts on his feeding V's my mistake on selections of food etc and when I figured that out (poor bugger was hungry but didn't know what to do with my crappy offerings of small items) but here you go:

Moose is wonderful to handle and makes it obvious to me when he is hungry (hunts) he always has a large lump after a feed (looks like he's swallowed a car) and hides for 2-3 days. When he emerges, his lump is MUCH smaller than my partners Bredli (also on the same food size) and I suspect it's because he sits in his warmest hide (32 degrees basking spot beside the hide - also has a medium warm hide 20cm below that on another basking shelf) and I suspect that's why his food lump goes so quickly, as my partners Bredli hangs out on the branches, where it's a little cooler and doesn't digest as quickly (maybe?)

I suppose my question is: Is he growing fast? I'm just seeing if he's growing more than other Palmerston Jungles... His head is growing all the time and I just can't see him stopping by 1.8 metres (which is the length I kind of expected him to grow.

Currently at 115cm at 14.5 months.....

For those of you that have a smaller or larger python "than usual" please share your experience :)
