Hi all. I am setting up a spare aviary I have (see picture). I am looking for some opinions on what to do with the flooring. I require the flooring to be secure ensuring the occupants can't dig their way out and my dog can't dig his way in. I was thinking of meshing it closed like I have with the roof, however, i'd like to consider any other methods.

Appreciate any input.

Regards.

hi Ewan,i put mine on sleepers and filled it with river peebles.

I use thin concrete slab or use pavers or rocks and just stick them in place with concrete.

Thanks for the input all.

I will go for the sleepers with river stones on the inside and pavers around the outside.

Cheers again.

Ewan.

i would be inclined to use concrete stepping tiles, then you can secure the whole aviary to them and still be safe for the occupants and will keep your dogs out.
