Tonight one of our Axanthic females laid a perfect clutch of 10 fertile eggs.
We believe this to be an Australian first in BHP breeding, and have eagerly anticipated this clutch for some time. No other pure Axanthic clutches have been laid that we know of.
This clutch is from a mating of two unrelated Axanthic parents. They will produce 100% Axanthic hatchlings. We have previously proven that the two genetic lines are compatible from clutches in previous years, with a percentage of Axanthics having been produced in those clutches.
Anyone wanting more information on genetics please Google- Genetics 101.
