hey everybody im not a massive poster here seeing as i dont have my own snake yet but the other day my mate found a bandy on the side of the road and its tongue is always out and the end is starting to go black is this normal if not what could it be and any idea how to fix it?

probably take it to a rescue centre/vet (that has a reptile specialist)...
 
Just let it go, should sort itself out, if it is meant to be, its meant to be.
 
Probably an encounter with a car - they often hang on for ages before they die. A vet may offer some advice, and they don't usually charge for wild animals. It is probably mortally wounded, but worth asking about.
 
he is probably going to release it. i just wanted to see if there was anything i could do to make its chances of survival abit better,

take it to the Vet ..... #1 that sounds very odd and I don't think It's anything you can fix..#2. it is illegal to keep a snake You "find" in the wild.

Three very reasonable suggestions - idea - don't come back into this thread anymore and just do as above suggested (there is no other realistic (humnane) alternative)
