Hey Raiiyne,
My name is Karen and i run the Python Keeping course in Rockingham.
It is entirely up to you if you feel you would like to do the course.
To let you know that for me to run the course i had to adhere to strict guidelines and have the necessary experience and know how for the license to be issued.
The DEC has now given me recognition as being competant in the training of Dangerous reptiles(Cat 5 non venomous),
Also it is the only Python Keeping course in WA, that covers all aspects of husbandry and handling etc.
The DEC dont just hand out licenses and for your information i have my Dealers license, Farmers license, Reg 16 and Reg 4/15 licenses. I have successfully bred Stimsons pythons, SW Carpets, Womas, and many species of lizards and it seems to me that the above information is just to promote their own ends, not encourage you to make sure that you give your python the best possible home and care you can.
Make up your own mind and pop in to see Ken at the Reptile Trader, where he will provide you with information free of charge and being the only Reptile specialist shop in Perth will be only to glad to help you find the stimmie of your choice.
BTW he has a sale on tomorrow 20% off everything in store including the reptiles.
Good luck with finding your stimmie.
