Hi guys, just a question regarding the 'blonde spotted python' genetics. Is it just a matter of breeding down a specific line of spotteds or is it a matter of locality? I'm guessing it's genetics would have nothing to do with recessive and dominant genes?

Thanks guys just a bit curious :)

The Blonde Spotted Pythons comes from the more Northern part of QLD, so it's a naturally occurring colour for that locality. This is one of ours.. Scythe.. isn't he cute?

Bob withy (bigguy) coined the name I think, a lighter less patterned spotted python, from specific areas, more north as said already

They originally came from an area near Cooktown.Trouble is a lot of people attach the blonde tag to any mac that is a bit lighter than usual.

You're not wrong. That little guy is stunning!

Ahhh ok thanks. They are certainly attractive looking. Haven't seen enough of the platinums around lately though.
