Just thought I'd share a couple of (somewhat dodgy) photos just taken of some baby Eastern Brown Snakes (Pseudonaja textilis) I picked up the other day. They are about 9 inches long and are yet to have their first shed.

Cheers.

nice hawkie, im getting some babies soon, are yours feeding?

Seems impossible to think they are as venomous as their parents (with less amounts of venom though, obviously!) They are really cute!

Thanks for the kind remarks.

The head markings fade over time as the snake becomes a subadult. This will depend pretty highly on feeding habits, etc. It can take up to a couple of years to completely disappear.

They are not feeding, but have had their first slough, and been forcefed this evening.

Cheers.

force feeding there little timebomb's would be an interesting thing to see.
Any chance of you doing a vid on youtube?

Hey Twenty B -

I don't have a video camera here but I'll get my missus to take some shots during the next feed.

Cheers.
