When i was at school today i saw this brown thing on the ground. I picked it up and it was a very weird looking bug. It had small wings and was about 3cm big. It had these things near its head like claws but they didnt open and close. Im not sure what type it is but when it was in my hand it used it claws thing to push my fingers apart.


Sorry i cant be more descriptive but it was very weird.

From your description – I am going to say Mole Cricket. They live under the ground (you can see their digging in soft soil).

Mole crickets are very common, they are the crickets you hear everywhere in fields, but cant see them..
