Hi, my tarantula has finally surfaced, so I took a pic, and was wondering if anyone could tell me more about it's specific genus.
The infomation I have about it is...
It is about the size of a 10 cent piece
Her colour is quite pale
It has a dark stripe on it's abdomen, unfortunatly where the camara chose to reflect.
.....yeh, thats about it

I baught it from Mentone Aquarium almost two years ago as a small spiderling.

Can I assume she's female yet? That looks too large a abdomen to be male

Anyway....it may still be to small to be told anything, thought I'd try tho

(hope I did it right, first time posting pic)

To distinguish different species of bird eating spider alot of microscope work is usually required on hair stucture, feet ect.

I hoped that someone that knew better bout them than me could telll me anything they could from looking at her.
Like if she is from a more arid or rainforest species...
I know there is heaps of tiney details they can't know...like how many 'claws?' on her feet, and small markings
But there are some major differences, I hoped they could narrow it down

for an id there needs to be larger and better and more pictures
arid or rainforest doesnt really matter as they can be kept the same way without problems

going by its age and size its probably an arid species as most rainforest species (besides dwarf tropix's) would be alot larger by now
