New to this site which I found after looking for the old allherps site. Sorry to hear about the loss to the community of such a dedicated herp. Can anyone ID this snake for me please. About 600-700mm, fast moving and a little aggressive. About 25mm diameter. Taken in the North Burnett region of South East Queensland today

Thanks for all and any help.

I just clicked the thumbnail to check my picture and find it is very dark in the large version whereas the original picture is well lit. Is this normal on the site and should I upload a much lighter version to make ID easier?

Thanks Gecko. I don't know if the large pic shows it, it looks very dark when I view it, but the snake was pretty well yellow underneath, charcoal grey/black on the body and brown on the head. Would this be a juvenile colouration? I have seen quite a few large browns around here that are the typical solid brown
