heres a pretty bad pic of our local copperhead. the bugger was soo arogant it would cruise past within feet of my sister riding her horse!

The one in my living room was striking at me!! (several times too) I assume I will see a lot more snake about with the drier weather etc. The copper head was out when it was fairly cool though mid to late afternoon. There was a fair bit of noise around with the kids os I thought it was strange for it to come inside. Glad it wasn't the big brown!

I've got no doubt it struck out at you, but you'll find that most people that get hit by Coppers aren't envenomated. Majority of the time they (for want of a better expression) headbutt. That is, strike with a closed mouth (famous last words :)).
And again I'm not surprised it was out when it was cooler. These animals are cold weather specialist. Temps we keep most captive snake at will stress and kill a Copperhead.
