Hi all

When (what time of year) do you all let your diamonds go into hibernation? About now?

Cheers

Probably a little late to be thinking about it now, I cease feeding mid April and reduce the basking time to 2 hours and the UV (optional) to about 4 hours, then once a week or so, no basking time, continue this til September, then bring up the basking time to 4 hours and the UV to 6 hours and resume feeding.

It really also depends where you live, Diamonds are still active and willing to eat unheated in collections around Sydney, it depends on how cold you can get them, whether they are indoors or outdoors ect ect... they operate quite fine at cold temps.

min get 4hrs heat is that to much if i wanna breed

mine are in-doors and dont have heating at anytime. others have different ideas, but i dont see a need to reduce heating and birmate (they dont hibernate like a bear) unless your planning to breed
