My Lacey is outgrowing his/her current enclosure so I'm looking at moving it into its next size up and I'm just trying to come up with basking shelf ideas. Because it's for a Lacey it obviously needs to be fairly robust but I would also like it to be easy to adjust so I can play around with distance from the heat lamp to get temperatures right and to change it as it grows. So does anyone have any ideas that they've used? Thanks

Rather than having an adjustable basking shelf why not just design something where you can adjust the height of the heat source? Be much easier.

May or may not help but when I wasn't satisfied with my temps I made up a half melamine box which was just a bit of melamine with two opposing sides screwed into it. This means it is open at the front and back meaning my snakes can sit on top of or below the shelf for two different basking temps.
