No socket 1 is for your heat source and is not controlled by the timer. Socket 2 CANNOT be used for heat as it is not controlled by the temp probe.

Hey have by any chance learnt how to use it properly. I'm still heaps confused. It's currently saying it's 21c but I've made it so it will be between 25c and 30c but it's reading 21c. What am I doing wrong? If you've fixed the problem or understand now could you please help. Thankyou
 
You set the temp you want. Then you set the divergence. Which is how low it drops before it turns back on. So mine is set to 32 with a divergence of 3 so it turns back on at 28 degrees
