An interesting article. I have heard the term light polution used in reference to astronomy and think of it every time I escape the burbs and get a chance to look at the night sky.
The refernce to some species benifitting by the extra lilght is interesting. Could this be why the introduced asian house gecko really only thrives and has spread around human development? Also having watched very fat green tree frogs in the wild pick off insects attracted to light it is easy to see how they have benifitted as a species.
