hey guys,

whats the average size when they mature? also how much would i be looking at? i saw one for 550$ for a hatchy, and one more question (sorry :p) being that they're aboreal would the heat pad still be effective even though he/she would be above ground? or would a light be a greater source of heat?

still figuring out which snake i want, i think this may be the one.

They can reach up to 2.4m in length, average price for a hatchie in WA is $500-$600 and for mature females is in the 1200+ range.

I have a heat mat only in mine and when he needs heat he wonders down and heats up, however when i build a new enclosure in the next month i will be putting in a ceramic heat lamp also.

I have stimsons and an imbricata and prefer the imbricata. They can be a little bitey at first but with regular handling they calm down. Mine tried to bite me twice the first couple of times i got him out and now 6 months on doesn't even try to bite. Don't be put off by this because they snap out of it pretty quick.

Hope this helps

Andrew
