With my snakes
I just made an exciting discovery. The bush beside me laid dormant for so long - its always a target for firebugs & for months I've wandered through to not see nor hear a single bird.

Outside my dining room I have a tea tree, and on the wall just below the window I've had a bird feeder and water for the lories and rosies but haven't fed them for ages because of other pesty species coming in and chasing them away. But my tea tea is now full of little birds - I saw blue wrens, a willy wag tail, silver-eyes, red-brow finches and double bar finches and all over the ground in my garden. I was so excited and went and got my container of mini mealies and threw them all over the ground - of course I scared them away :( but they will be back & tomorrow I will bring home some seed for them :D

awsome, we get double barrs and i think i recall seeing red browed finches a few years back in the area.
